Job Description
Job Requirements:
• Hold a valid Kentucky teaching certification in Moderate & Severe Disabilities (MSD)
• High School teaching experience (preferred)
• Positive role model for young children/youth
• Experience with designing and implementing specially designed instruction
• Ability to coordinate and work with a team of adults to provide special education services
• Organized and experienced with classroom management
• Experience working with assistive technology
• Experience with TEACCH tasks, Hieracy of Prompting levels, or Discrete Trial methodology
• Knowledgeable of alternate assessment standards and practices
• Experience creating, implementing and monitoring IEPs
• Desire to see ALL students succeed
• Flexible
• Team attitude
• Good communicator
• Experience working with multi-grade levels
• Hold current Safe Crisis Management certification or the ability to achieve certification
Other Information:
• 2020-2021 School Year/186 Days
• Salary based on Rank and Experience
• All employees must complete: TB, Physical, Drug Screening, Child Abuse & Neglect, Local, State and Federal Background Checks
