Job Summary Responsible for the registration of patients and clients accessing services with emphasis on satisfaction, insurance/demographic verification and accuracy, scheduling appointments and meeting space, greeting guests, and producing tracking reports. # Job Responsibilities Greets and directs clients and visitors to appropriate service providers. May schedule appointment times for services using computerized scheduling programs. Explains financial responsibilities for services received, payment options, and collection procedures to patients and clients for payment. Ensures all necessary demographic and billing information is obtained for patients and entered in the computer system timely and accurately. May communicate with referring facilities and providers regarding patient appointments and scheduling. Provides tracking of patient demographics and disbursement of satisfaction surveys to patients. Produces quarterly reports for clients. Takes reservations for meeting spaces at Healthpark and ensures proper paperwork completed for area set up, catering, and other needs. Assists with CPR Training Center support functions including collecting payments, check out of equipment, and card processing procedures. Answers internal and external calls; takes requests for patient information, disperses the information with accountability to all regulatory entities and according to the facility#s policies and procedures, schedules outpatient appointments accordingly. Provides back-up support to Golden Partners desk when volunteers are out. Qualifications High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire No experience required FA - First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment in this position AND BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position OR Heartsaver CPR AED required within 90 days of employment in this position Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under direct supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Learning and applies knowledge at a basic level relying heavily on senior staff for troubleshooting.
