SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR II-CORE Information Technology Hours: M-F 8AM - 4:30PM Days - Full-time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: OH 2013-76 -
Job Summary Responsible for assisting Level I System Admin in solving basic technical problems and for investigating elevated issues by confirming the validity of the problem and seeking for known solutions related to these more complex issues. Responsible for assisting with project research and design, deployment and implementation and consultative support in a team environment. Job Responsibilities Administers and supports core EMC and NetApp block/file storage, VMware and EMC backup technologies. Participates in the implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring of core infrastructure hardware and operating systems to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. Maintains inventory and asset configuration documentation. Manages and deploys multiple high availability data centers. Participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Identifies, communicates and resolves storage and systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. Provides IT and end user training where required. Carries out Tier II system management responsibilities. Responsible for EMC VMAX and ISILON, NetApp Storage Management, Cisco UCS, VMWARE Administration, and Cisco MDS Fabric Administration. Proactively monitors and reports system performance and troubleshoots any problems of Server/SAN Infrastructure. Ensures backup and restores functionality of Core Infrastructure system servers environment. Performs planned maintenance of Core Infrastructure system environment. Participates in On Call Rotation 24/7. Organizational Responsibilities Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures. Education Associate#s degree or higher in Computer Information Systems or related field required. Bachelor#s degree in Computer Information Systems preferred. A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Licensure/Certification/Registration None required. Work Experience A minimum of 4 years# relevant experience required. Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory required. Experience supporting storage area networks (SAN) required. Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. High level of analytical and problem solving skills is required. Customer-oriented interpersonal skills required to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals are required.
